The Broad
Opened in September 2015, The Broad is a modern and striking contemporary art museum featuring some of the most outstanding post-war works from around the world.
Founded by philanthropists Eli and Edythe Broad, the building was designed with an innovative concept that makes it a popular architectural attraction. It is covered by a metal, honeycomb-like structure known as a "veil", which gives it a modern and unique appearance.
Exhibitions
With an area of 140,000 square metres distributed over 3 floors, the museum exhibits a small sample of the over 2,000 works that make up the private collection of the Broad Art Foundation, one of the world's most important post-war contemporary art collections. The museum offers an extensive programme of temporary exhibitions that rotate their works regularly throughout the year.
