Santa Monica Beach
Located to the west of Downtown, Santa Monica State Beach is a landmark as well as one of the best examples of the famous beaches of sunny southern California we're all familiar with.
This popular beach boasts of over two miles of white sand, from Will Rogers Beach to Venice Beach. The beach is divided into two sections, located north and south of the pier.
The beach has areas for a variety of sports such as volleyball, surfing, paddleboarding and swimming. It also houses the International Chess Park where, as well as several tables for playing, there is also a huge chessboard.
The Santa Monica Pier, located in the middle of Santa Monica Beach, is one of the most iconic places in the city. Known as the final point of the legendary Route 66, it offers its visitors guaranteed fun thanks to its popular amusement park, aquarium, food stalls and incredible views of the coast.
